When people fall in love we tend to be willing to give up everything for the other person and yet when it comes to making Jesus our everything or giving Him our everything we struggle.

When I wrote this song, I realized that despite my many failures, God loved me no less and even in our battles, in the midst of our struggles, we must choose - because it’s a choice - to worship Him and give Him everything.

‘Nothing can hold me back’ is literally that: Nothing, not valleys, not troubles, not storms, will hold me back from giving Jesus my everything.
