God's valuation of man vs man's valuation of God.

I love a good story song and I wanted to tell the story of Jesus being betrayed. I didn't just want it to be a song about how bad Judas was but to show that we were all there with him. In this case He and the disciples who fled, the scribes and pharisees and the soldiers all show us as humanity at our worst, rejecting the best and greatest.

At the end of the day, without God showing us how amazing He is, we don't have a clue. But that's just it, God has shown us how amazing He is by coming to us and loving us at our very worst.

He took on our betrayal, rejection, violence, hatred and eventually our very death, pouring out His blood to show just how valuable we are to Him. We may not have given Him the time of day but He gave us everything and, in realising this, we are free to be loved even at our very worst and now we can enjoy relationship with our God, in Christ.

He declares that we are priceless in His sight and shows us how precious He is. This is what I pray is revealed to us all in this song no matter what we've done or where we've been.
