Relationships can be difficult at times. Occasionally they break down and can leave a bitter taste in our mouths. I’ve experienced relationships turning sour both personally and professionally and it’s not pleasant.

One of the most wonderful things about being a Christian is the knowledge that God will never leave us and He will never forsake us. He won’t desert us, run off with someone else or decide that He no longer likes us. His love is pure and His love is sweet… it tastes good.

This simple song is a reflection of the goodness of God’s love. I personally find it refreshing to meditate on these truths in a chaotic world. The plans that God has for me are good because He loves me. Good and easy aren’t necessarily the same thing and for the record, sweet doesn’t equate to weak. His love is enduring, never wavering and faithful.

I pray that you would taste and see more of His love in your life so that you too can treat people around you with tender mercies and enjoy refreshing relationships.
