Trusting in God has been something I've grown in especially over the last 2 years, through cancer, through trials in my work, relationships & friendships.

Sometimes God answers our prayers in unexpected ways, perhaps leading us through something which could look like a disaster with our natural eyes, but it will strengthen us, build our faith and develop our character. We must remember during these trials that God works all things for the greater good and for his glory.

I have learnt that we must have unwavering trust in the Lord, trust the process and not rush ahead of God.  All throughout scripture, we are told that it is God, not us, who produces results through our work, so as Christians, we must embrace the tension between hard work and trusting God in order to find true rest.

Proverbs 3: 5-8

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

It will be health to your flesh,

And strength to your bones.
