You Are My Home comes from the deepest part of my heart where I long to see my Savior reign inside me, a child of God. The song was largely inspired by my coming to terms with my son Edu’s diagnosis of autism.

The uncertainty that my wife and I discovered upon seeing our precious son at the mercy of a debilitating diagnosis inspired us to walk with God along his journey. While living in a world that often does not understand our son, the difficult trial allowed us to see the unfailing love of a perfect Father who embraces His Son in the face of an imperfect world that chose to crucify Jesus.

Jesus told His disciples that He would never leave them or forsake them, and so He sent the Counselor to abide in us as we abide in Him, in order that we recognize the risen Lord in our eternal walk, even in our current life of grace to grace, and glory to glory. The Lord of hosts has made a home in us, and we are His beloved.
