The idea for this song came one evening when I was washing the dishes and thinking about a beautiful sister in Christ, who attends my church.

As I was thinking about her, the melody to the first line in the Chorus sprung up.  From that moment, I knew that I wanted to write a song, which addressed the truth about Christ’s impenetrable love for us, as a declaration over this dear sister, who sadly like so many us, has not fully appropriated Christ’s love.

The biblical truths that are declared in this song have largely been taken from Romans 5 v 8 which says that “God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us” and Romans 8 v 39 which tells us that “nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus Our Lord”.

It is my prayer that those who hear this song will drink deep of our saviour’s love and rest in the truth that nothing can separate us from His love for us.
