From cursed to blessed in Christ.

This song came about after I'd listened to a preacher named Chrissie Bizley. One phrase in particular had struck me from the message and it was this: "Christ cannot be cursed twice." She'd been speaking from Galations, which says: 

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree…" (Gal 3:13 KJV)

The lights seemed to turn on in my brain. Jesus had taken all our curse in His own body and finished it, He took it away and put it to death. This was amazing news...before this, the curse was all I could expect from the law because I could never behave well enough to keep the law!

Chrissie continued to say that now, the law of double jeopardy exists because if Jesus took all the curse then how can anyone else be cursed? Jesus literally died for us and as us, therefore He was cursed in our place. For Jesus to be cursed again would be ridiculous, offensive, impossible! And we are in Him, we are His body, in Him we live and move and have our being...therefore if Christ cannot be cursed twice, we cannot be cursed!

This song is meant to be a rousing cry from us responding to Jesus' finished work, that He has done it all and we are now the blessed ones in Him, NOT the cursed ones.
