Who You Are is another song I wrote at home during a personal time of prayer and soaking in God’s presence. During this time Holy Spirit began to stir up in me an overwhelming sense of God’s immense compassion for us. In Luke chapter 19 we are told that God sent Jesus to earth “to seek and to save the lost”. All throughout scripture, I’m really moved by God’s heart to reach out to the broken, the lost and the hurting. As I continued to rest in this awesome unchanging attribute of God’s character, this chorus began resounding in me:

You wash the feet of the weary // You draw near to the brokenhearted // Jesus that’s who You are

You give sight to the blind man // You comfort the restless soul // Jesus that’s who You are

This song reminds us to worship God for who He is and the amazing things He’s done for us!
