Christ Lives In Me was written in a season of learning how to live in the freedom Christ has brought us.

A while ago, as church staff team, we had some fantastic teaching about how Christ dwells within us each and every day of our lives, based on Galatians 2v20 - “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

It dawned on me that, because Jesus took all my sin and shame upon Himself by taking up my place upon the cross, His perfect righteousness has been transferred onto me. All my sin and shame was completely overcome at the cross of Christ. So now when the Father looks upon me He sees a blameless child, justified by the sacrifice of His Son.

Knowing this amazing truth has enabled me to live in freedom it brings - I’m no longer a condemned sinner but a forgiven child of the living God.
