Spirit Rise Up is a song I wrote after being inspired by a talk at the ELA Conference in 2019. This song speaks of a longing for transformation - firstly of our personal relationship with God and then with the world.

I cry out in desperation // Longing for transformation // Won’t You consume our hearts, O God?

I’m praying for revelation // To sweep across the nations // Won’t You consume our hearts, O God?

The chorus is a heart-cry for God’s Spirit to rise up and be manifest in our innermost being, consuming our hearts and giving us a new passion to see revival!

Spirit rise up in my soul // Holy Spirit rise up in my soul // As I leave behind the old for the new // Let Your heart’s compassion transform my view
